Claire has a morning routine that we're not crazy about...but we're rolling with it and have been for some time now. Usually around 3 or 4 am, she starts whining and crying a bit. When you go to her room, she's rooting around looking for her pacifier. When you put it back in her mouth, she goes right back to sleep until she looses it again. She does this every 15 to 30 minutes for a couple of hours. It really isn't as bad as it sounds (as I type this, I realize it sounds like she's a terrible sleeper...and she isn't...she's a great sleeper!)
Well, this morning, she did something I've never seen her do! I had been in her room probably 3 or 4 times when she started crying again... I got up, stumbled in to her room, and found my sweet little girl lying FACE DOWN in her bed, rooting for the pacifier! That's right...she managed to roll over in bed! Now I feel like I'm going to wake up one day and she's going to crawl away from me :(
My little one is growing and changing so fast! As Lauren and Andy are about to become parents (yes, guys, we're really hoping it happens soon for you!!!), I find myself thinking about Claire's birth and first few weeks. It seems like it was yesterday... I think about her sweet little hands and how she accidentally smiled all the time... Babies are so wonderful!
