Another busy weekend!

Well, I got called off from my overtime shift on Saturday...which worked out because we had company! Grandma and Grandpa Allen came up since Adam and Josh got a last minute DJ gig for Sat night. Claire spent some time squealing and rolling around on the floor...showing her true colors to the Allen clan! My mom, grandmother and aunt had come to Terre Haute for a charity auction at Turners (a travel company) and they stopped by with a cute little pumpkin for Claire. Needless to say, this was a busy house this weekend!

Claire has made it through all of her yellow veggies (carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash) and we're halfway through the greens (we've had green beans and peas are next). Then...FRUITS! I'm excited when we start each new baby food...excited for her reaction and excited to see her gaining new things in life. I know its just baby food...but there's something so awesome about watching a baby grow and change. She handles cereal like a pro now and seems to like the rice cereal with apples the best.

Her yuckiness this weekend involves her stuffy, runny nose. last night she couldn't breathe from her nose most of the night...and after several bouts of arguing with the nasal aspirator, I finally had her breathing a bit better. But, with mouth breathing comes a dry little throat. And with that comes a hideous barking cough that sounds like the croup. Once she's good and awake, though, she appears happy and manages to get some slobbers into her throat. She doesn't act "sick" when she's good and awake...but when she's half asleep, she looks like she doesn't feel good. Guess we'll just keep an eye on it!
