We've been busy watching our sweet little daughter grow and learn! This week she has really taken to climbing up the stairs, walking in to her room, and then climbing into the rocking chair that belonged to me as a child. Once she gets there, she stands up and points at me....saying "Dit! Dit!" because she knows she's supposed to sit in the chair! It's so darn cute!
She says "bub bub" which sort of sounds like bubble and constantly looks like she's thinking about what you're saying to her! I love it!
I've started to reconnect with my long-lost girlfriends from high school...and it's been a long time coming! I haven't seen them in years and our lives have all changed and taken different paths! It makes me think, though. Where did the time go? I can't believe I'm the adult....ok, WE are the adults... Sometimes Adam and I will look at each other in sheer disbelief that we're the decision-making, money-controlling, "no"-saying Mom and Dad to someone that is totally dependent on us. (Sigh) It makes me feel old!
And at the same time, it makes me feel wonderful! I have been granted the opportunity to raise a beautiful girl. I get to watch her learn to write, meet a boy, hopefully fall in love... I get to watch her become her own person...and that is an amazing fact-of-life!
