Lovin' the princess car
Poor baby...

Beautiful...and in the neighbor's yard, not ours!
But, these ARE in our yard!
Two pigtails on one cute little girl!

Walking without help!

Picking clover...and eating some of it!

Dirty bottom...

Claire could be a model for one of those yard ornaments that looks like the lady's butt sticking up!

I can't help but wonder what Claire will be like in a few years. Today I put her hair into two pigtails...and I can imagine her asking me to braid it in a few years. And then, in a few more years, she's going to ask me to color a stripe of it pink. And a few years later, she'll get it done for prom....and then a wedding.... (sigh)
Today, as I plopped my daughter down in the grass at Deming Park, I had an epiphany. Through the lens of the Leica a few safe feet away from her, she talked and walked without anyone's help...least of all mine. As she gets older, I see her differently. And if you look at the above photos, you might see it too. She's not a baby anymore, she's a girl. (sigh)
Her growth at each stage has amazed me, but none more than the current one. She talks to everything and everyone...saying "hi" and "bye"....yelling "num num num" in the highchair when she enjoys something to eat! She is the most amazing little person!
