It's Fair Week!

And nothing says summer like overpriced lemon shakeups, ridiculous bags of cotton candy and hoards of screaming, unattended children!

Adam and I braved the Vigo County Fair to show our sweet daughter the sights and sounds (and smells too) of the farm! Everything was a "duck duck duck" and she refused to touch anything in the petting zoo...much like Daddy! After a few stinky barns, we braved the carousel...and Claire had a BLAST!! She giggled and squirmed! I, on the other hand got nervous about her falling and became a bit dizzy after the thing started going! (sigh) The fair is not as fun as it was when I was a kid.

I've been told by a few folks that I should write more about my life in general. The tough part is that my greatest joy is Claire. And it's tough to write about much else because her presence has painted how I see/feel/do everything in life.

That being said, I made a wicked beef teriyaki with brocolli over rice last Sunday...in the crockpot! And it was AMAZING! Claire had none...she had carrots instead <-- See, I can't do it! I have to talk about her!
