Apparently winter is upon us! Yesterday, Adam planned out a lovely dinner while I was asleep...I'm fighting my first winter cold and am almost over it now! But yesterday, I felt terrible. So, he planned, found recipes he liked, went to the grocery store, and started a yummy cranberry pork roast in the crock pot. I helped him finish it up right before we ate. We had the roast along with wild rice and yummy garlic asparagus (seen above!) It was all REALLY YUMMY! I was so proud of him for having the gumption to plan and cook! It was sort of our date day yesterday since Adam didn't have school (Vigo County doesn't go to school on Veteran's Day) and I didn't work. Daycare was closed...so we spent the day being lazy as a family! I don't think anyone got out of pajamas!
Claire rolls all over the floor at a record pace now! Yesterday she rolled straight off the blanket and banged her head/face into the leg of the coffee table! She cried and looked at me like I had just punched her! She got over it and managed to escape without any injuries...and it was a bit funny!:) Guess those days of plopping her on the floor and leaving the room are gone! (Sigh) When did my little baby turn into a big one!?! She sits in the saucer and talks to the dogs, the tv, us, anything that doesn't run away from her! She smiles, laughs, and squeals at the drop of a hat...and is making some sounds too..."aaa", "bbbb", "gggg", oh...and blowing raspberries like they're going out of style! She's really a lot of fun!
Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to Lauren and Andy, who welcomed their baby girl Jillian on Saturday the 8th! She is beautiful and looks just like her daddy (must be a trend around here...little girls looking like their daddies!)
