Adventures in...cycling?

Pre-ride nap...in a onesie (Thank God for Spring!!!)

Thursday night was quite the adventure for the Allen trio... We forget how much work it takes to do things with a baby that used to take us no time at all. Adam's birthday gift from his parents was a bike trailer for Claire to ride in. This allows us, aka Mom and Dad, to ride with Claire Bear in tow!

We drove to a park past Rose Hulman that has direct access to the Heritage Trail and prepared to saddle up. Nevermind that I had not been on a bicycle since high school and Claire had never rode in a trailer with a cute little "sling" seat...

We parked and unloaded everything only to remember that we hadn't attached the thingie to Adam's bike that attatched to the trailer...poo... So, we called Josh for directions (Thanks, Josh), and got the thingie attached. After only 1 1/2 hour of prep...we were finally riding! Claire had an awesome time all bundled up in her "car"...and Mom and Dad had a great time riding off some stress! Next time, it'll be even better (because all the prep and assembly will be done! That's right, Grandpa...some assembly WAS required!)

Well it had to be licensed...and now you know who's inside!

Not the best picture...but she does look comfortable! She rode the whole time with one rattle in each hand and just stared out the little windows!

The best part...it works on the truck too! Claire totally LOVED the ride home!
